Children at St Edmund's

“Let the children come to me. God’s kingdom is made up of people like these”  Matthew 19:14

All Age Services

Generally speaking, the 11.00 service on the first Sunday of the month is an All Age Service of Holy Communion, specially designed to include both the young and the young-at-heart!

Children are very welcome!

We encourage parents to bring their children to church with them, however young they may be. Toys and books await babies and toddlers at the back of church. There is also a play area in the crypt where children are welcome to quietly play with their parents during services.

Please note that due to the Covid-19 challenges Children's Church and Youth Group activities are currently put on hold until we have the possibilities of conducting these sessions online.

Children’s church
Children’s church is held the second, third and last Sunday of each month. The classes meet during church services. There are two classes for ages 5-7 and 8-11. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Sharon John, or our Senior Chaplain.

Every Christmas the children participate in our paegant of the Nativity story.

Youth Group

The Youth Group at St Edmund's Church welcomes young people aged 11 to 14. We usually meet once a month, mostly on the second Sunday of the month, after the service. If you would like to join the youth group please contact our Leader for Youth Ministry or our Senior Chaplain
